Provided the very first of its kind within the RAF, an integrated Welfare Facility for all Ranks. This would offer full dining facilities from Breakfast to Dinner along with an associated Games facility and Bar.
Project summary
CPM-WT worked with ISS Facility Management and the RAF to create a Welfare Facility to be used by all ranks , this was a trial site as combining all ranks together for Food and recreation had never been done before, our designs had to be sectioned by the Group Captain of RAF Shawbury and all of our staff had to be security checked and carry passes at all times as Shawbury is a high security site
Outcome
This was a long-term project some three Months on-site to achieve the transformation of the entire facility including the Manufacture of new Bars and Back fittings, the site was handover to the RAF within the agreed timeline and opened by the Air-vice Marshall for the Red Arrows
The ISS Regional Director, said,
“This has been a difficult Project to work on with a number of interested parties within the RAF involved, but to the credit of CPM-WT they keep everyone fully informed at their weekly meetings which instilled confidence into everyone, a unique one off project which we should all be exceedingly proud of”.
