FAQs about healthcare bid management and bid writing services
Q. How do you work with clients?
We work with clients in a number of ways, such as helping to develop a new business strategy; helping to prepare for a specific tender, for example, developing service delivery models; providing bid writing support; or implementing a new service.
We typically work on a project basis, helping with specific tenders, or business development initiatives, but we can also provide interim support, supplying an individual to work within your organisation (for example as Bid Manager), either full-time or for a set number of days per week or month. Take a look at the services we can provide: Strategy Development, Bid Preparation, Bid Writing, Implementation.
Q. How do you charge?
To help develop new business strategy or to prepare for a specific tender, we calculate a fixed fee. For bid writing, we can either charge a set fee for a project or a fixed daily rate. The set fee will be based on the rough number of words to be written and the amount of research and discussion required to collect input material. On interim projects we charge a daily rate, which varies according to the nature of the role.
Q. Do you focus exclusively on healthcare?
We focus on health and social care. The healthcare market is becoming increasingly integrated and has its own unique complexities and challenges; our exclusive focus on this sector brings many benefits to our clients. We focus exclusively on contracts and tenders let by Clinical Commissioning Groups, Local Authorities, NHS England and individual hospital trusts, and we support both NHS and independent providers to tender for these services. Increasingly, NHS, third sector and independent organisations are working collaboratively to offer integrated solutions and we support many tenders involving multiple partners.
Q. We‘ve got an internal bid team, but we’d like some assistance to help us prepare for the tender. Will you do that?
Yes. We will work with your team to ensure you create a watertight bid that not only answers all the questions and meets the service specification, but which also ’sells’ your organisation, making sure the commissioning team understand why you are best suited to win the contract.
Q. We‘ve got an internal bid team, but we’d like someone to review a bid. Will you do that?
Absolutely! Review by an objective, informed party is always a good idea. We review each other’s work as a matter of course. We are always happy to act as your ‘critical friend’.
Q. We’ve submitted a bid and have been invited to present to the client. Can you help with that?
Yes, indeed. We will work with your presenting team to make sure they prepare and deliver a professional presentation which addresses the topics given and are able to handle the most probing questions.
Q. Who do you work with?
We work with Community Services Providers, Mental Health Trusts, Acute Trusts, GP Federations and independent sector providers. On many projects, we work with partnerships of two or more organisations who are collaborating to offer a complete, integrated service. Take a look at our client list for more details.
